Another amazing @altsummit for the books. Informat Another amazing @altsummit for the books. Informative sessions, cute dresses, and so much color!

Every time I return home from Alt, I feel like it was my best one. I feel more confident and bold. Showing up in a space where so many women are shining and killing it is so energizing.

This time around it was extra special because I brought my sister and adorable niece. My lil sugar momma was the star of the conference. 🤩

Now that I’m back home and staring down a new week, I have lots of follow up to do. If I haven’t been in your DMs or inbox yet it’s coming. I feel more confident than ever that helping women transform their lives through the power of tiny actions was the right pivot.

P.S. Did we meet at Alt Summit? Raise your hand!
Two months! Today marks 2 months since the offici Two months!

Today marks 2 months since the official release of “Don’t Let Fear Have All the Fun”.

When I decided to self publish I was terrified that I might be making the wrong decision. I spoke with a literary agent and they were confident that there was a market for this book. At the time their client roster was full but they offered to help me find representation for this blossoming book idea about fear.

I consulted with my grandmother, I talked to my sister and biz bestie, I weighed the pros and cons with my husband. Ultimately, it came down to timing. This book was ready for the world. I had already put off writing it for 3 years. I took a leap of faith and pressed forward.

Returning home from @altsummit, I know I made the right decision. Every time I shared the title of my book with someone I met, their face would light up. They smiled and say “Oh! I need that book.” Every time I mentioned that I want to empower women to go after their dreams one tiny action at a time, I could feel their energy shift. This book is needed now.

I had a lot of conversations over the 3 days of the conference. The one that sticks out the most is my conversation with a new friend Erin who asked me “What’s your big ask for the year? What do want to see happen?”

Know what I said?

“I want to give a keynote about some of the ideas in my book. I want to speak on a stage and explain to people why they need to stop letting fear have all the fun in their lives.”

Erin introduced me to a woman who puts on a yearly conference. So we’ll see what happens. 🤯

I shared all of that to remind you that you have to take action. You have to take action even if you’re afraid. Even if you’re not sure if you’ve made the right decision. Even if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing. Clarity comes from the doing. Opportunity happens when you’re bold and do your work.

Happy 2-month pub day anniversary to my hot pink book baby! We are just getting started.
